Weather of SarasotaSouth Central Florida, along the Gulf Coast near the south end of Tampa Bay, enjoys warm weather with lots of sunshine year round. During the months of June through September, it is hot and humidity hovers around 50 percent or higher. Although this sounds high, Gulf breezes help to moderate temperatures and virtually every structure in Florida is equipped with air conditioning. The rainy season is from late May through October. You can expect almost daily thunderstorms during this time, but they dissipate quickly and within minutes the sun is shining again. Winters are much drier in comparison with lovely warm daytime temperatures and cool nights. The hurricane season in Florida runs from late August through November, but generally plenty of warning time is given for these types of tropical storms. |
